Flash 9 with Quartz Rendering Support

Adobe has released a public beta of Flash 9 with CoreGraphics rendering support on Mac OS X. Trunk has support for CoreGraphics plugin rendering, so if you’re using a trunk nightly of either Camino or Firefox you’ll benefit from this.

Adobe did a great job and it was a pleasure working with them to make this happen on Gecko!

  1. Wow
Im using the new release with the latest nightly build of camino and flash is now damn fast on my 3 year old powerbook g4! never thought i’ll experience that on my old machine!

  2. I stumbled across this post while trying to find a solution to current firefox nightlies (July 2007) and shocking performance on sites with flash.

I was hoping for a fix but even after download the latest adobe labs flash player for osx and installing the latest firefox 3 fron the trunk (2007-07-07-04-trunk) my local news site http://www.smh.com.au is completely un-usable.

    Any ideas?
